concert of the children's chorus

Johann Michael Haydn, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, national and international christmas carols

Since its creation in 2008, the Children's Chorus of the Deutsche Oper Berlin has taken on an increasingly important role in the activities of the opera house, with all child chorus parts in Deutsche Oper works now performed by the Children's Chorus. These include CARMEN, TOSCA, CARMINA BURANA, LA BOHEME, HANSEL AND GRETEL, OTHELLO, TURANDOT and the solos in TOSCA and MACBETH. During the 2012/2103 season the Chorus will feature prominently in THE CUNNING LITTLE VIXEN and also give performances in its own right. The Kinderchor also stages its own annual Christmas concert. With its performances and concerts on the Deutsche Oper stage, in the Kammermusiksaal of the Philharmonie and at other venues, the Chorus delivers pieces ranging in style from baroque to modern pop.
