• Ordering procedure:
  
  Please use our official order form (in German) "Abonnements" (subscritions). Enter your preferred dates and seats for your subscription and send or fax the form to the Subscription Office, Deutsche Oper Berlin. Our staff are always happy to advise you and help you obtain the subscription that suits your requirements.
  
  Purchasing additional tickets: Should you wish to reserve tickets in addition to your subscription, you may purchase them at a 10% discount [subject to availability; does not apply to specially priced events, the RING OF THE NIBELUNG or performances at the Staatsballett Berlin]. Please use the order form entitled „Extras und Zusatzkarten (“Extras and additional tickets").
  
  Paying for subscriptions: Payment must be made in full and in advance, by bank transfer or similar. Cash is not accepted.

Subscription conditions

• 1. General
  In signing the subscription agreement the subscriber undertakes to adhere to the following provisions pertaining to subscriptions (season tickets, multiple-admission packages) offered by the Deutsche Oper Berlin. Verbal subsidiary arrangements are not valid.
  
  2. Performances covered
  Subscriptions relate to series of performances as detailed in the publications of the Deutsche Oper Berlin. Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions cannot be used to obtain seats for external or 'one-off' events, performances of THE RING OF THE NIBELUNG, performances by the Staatsballett Berlin or specially priced events. A subscription entitles the holder only to a single seat at any of the performances attended.
  
  3. Subscription agreement
  The Deutsche Oper Berlin rents seats to interested parties, who, by signing the agreement, enter into a legal contract and become subscribers. The subscriber rents the seat(s) for the duration of the season and is liable to the Deutsche Oper Berlin for the full price of the subscription covering the performances relating to that subscription. There are no reimbursements for performances not attended.
  
  Before tickets for the next season go on general sale each subscriber will be sent information on subscription renewals and prices.
  
  4. Seats
  Seats are allocated in the order in which reservations are received. Staff will do their best to accommodate subscribers' wishes regarding seat position.
  
  5. Subscription prices / method of payment
  Subscriptions are issued for the relevant series, seat categories and prices, as set out in the respective price lists. The subscription covers the entire season and must be paid for in full and in advance, by bank transfer or similar. Cash is not accepted.
  
  6. Programme alterations
  In cases where, due to unforeseeable circumstances, the Deutsche Oper Berlin is unable to honour a particular date covered by the subscription as a result of a change of programme or the cancellation of a performance, the Opera reserves the right to specify a replacement date. Where the staging of a production or any other technical/organisational imperative prevents subscribers from occupying their rightful seats, tickets for replacement seats will be issued.

• 7. Exchanging tickets
  In the case of bespoke (customised, free-choice) subscriptions, a subscriber is entitled to reschedule two attendances per series per season. Unless otherwise stated, attendances may be rescheduled only within a particular series. The relevant subscription card must be presented to the Subscription Office at least three working days prior to the earliest of the affected dates. Exchange options for subscriptions with set dates are as follows:
  - Premiere subscription: a maximum of one exchange within series P and NP.
  - RING subscription: exchanges between cycles is not possible.
  - Chamber concert subscription: no exchange possible.
  - All other subscriptions: a maximum of one exchange within the limitations of the relevant subscription.
  
  8. Recruitment bonus
  A subscriber who, through his/her direct agency, generates a new subscriber for the Opera, will receive a reward as set out [here]. The reward system does not apply to persons buying additional subscriptions for themselves, nor may the new subscriber reside at the address of the mediating subscriber.
  
  9. Additional tickets
  Subscribers wishing to purchase tickets not covered by their own subscription may apply through the normal channels. Tickets are subject to availability. Subscribers pay a reduced price; conditions apply.
  
  10. Transferability
  The resale of subscription cards to third parties is prohibited.
  
  11. Place of performance
  Place of performance for all obligations specified in this agreement is Berlin-Charlottenburg/ Wilmersdorf.

  Discounts on extra tickets
  Should you wish to reserve tickets in addition to your subscription, you may purchase them at a 10% discount (subject to availability; does not apply to specially priced events, the RING OF THE NIBELUNG or performances at the Staatsballett Berlin). Please use the order form entitled „Extras und Zusatzkarten“ ("Extras and additional tickets").
  
  Recommend us
  Tell a friend about us and get a free ticket for the event of your choice in the price category of your own subscription (A, B or C) when the friend buys a subscription. Does not apply to additional subscriptions purchased by you.
  
  LoyaltyCard 2012/2013
  After purchasing tickets for more than nine different performances, patrons may obtain the TreueCard upon request, free of charge. (Only one ticket per performance counts towards the nine. Subscription tickets included.) Starting with the 10th performance, the TreueCard gives a 30% discount on tickets of Price Categories A, B &, C and 10% off Category D tickets. Exceptions are THE RING OF THE NIBELUNG, specially-priced performances, external productions and performances of the Staatsballett Berlin. Please note that the TreueCard is can be used only by the holder and is non-transferable. To apply, please submit the corresponding admission tickets and a passport photo (if the TreueCard is being issued for the first time). Please use the order form entitled „Extras und Zusatzkarten“ ("Extras and additional tickets").

• Special conditions in restaurant and multi-storey car park
  Present your car-park ticket at the first cloakroom on the right and obtain an exit ticket for only € 2.50. These exit tickets can be ordered in advance using the enclosed form entitled „Extras und Zusatzkarten“ ("Extras and additional tickets"). The ticket will be sent shortly before the start of the season.
  
  On presentation of your Subscriber's Card (AboCard) (new) you may claim a 10% discount on food and beverages in the Deutsche Oper restaurant.
  
  Subscriber Discounts 2012/2013
  Option on tickets for the gala concert: For our subscribers we are setting aside a limited number of tickets for the "100 Years of Deutsche Oper Berlin" Gala Concert on 20th October 2012 (max. two tickets per person). Please use the order form entitled „Extras und Zusatzkarten“ ("Extras and additional tickets"). Orders are processed on a first come, first served basis.
  
  50% discount: Subscribers may claim a 50% reduction on tickets for THE FLYING DUTCHMAN (concertante in the Philharmonie) on 27th May 2013 and THE GHOST SHIP (concertante in the Konzerthaus) on 4th June 2013.
  
  Reduced prices in Deutsches Theater: On presentation of their (new) AboCard or their TreueCard at the box office of the Deutsches Theater subscribers may claim a 10% reduction on a maximum of two tickets.

Cycles Ring 1

In the Richard Wagner year 2013: Available now for 2013/2014 season Ring 1 / Ring 2 Cycle (Code R1/R2). Both cycles of THE RING OF THE NIBELUNG are available only on subscription. Tickets for one cycle may not be swapped for tickets for the other. Prices: € 488,– / € 356,– / € 256,– / € 152,–.

Cycles Ring 2
