About the performance

For the musicians of the orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin, their series of chamber-music sessions is a wish come true. Taking their inspiration from key operas on the programme, they put together concert programmes linked to works that they hold particularly dearly. They are assisted in the project not only by singers from the ensemble but also by guests from outside. The concerts take place against the backdrop of sets being used in whatever Tischlerei production is being mounted at the time - which regularly necessitates new and unconventional spatial solutions.

Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 - 1827)
String Quartet in B flat major op. 18, No. 6

Max Reger (1873 - 1916)
Serenade for flute, violin and viola

Henriette Renié (1875 - 1956)
Trio for harp, violin and violoncello - 1st Allegro risoluto

Astor Piazzolla (1921 - 1992)
Tangos for violin and double bass

Jean-Baptiste Barrière (1707 - 1747)
Sonata in G major no. 10 for two violoncellos

Franz Schubert (1797 - 1828)
