Vita
1987 in Split geboren, absolvierte der junge Bassbariton Marko Mimica zunächst in seiner Heimatstadt ein Trompetenstudium. Anschließend vollendete er 2010 sein Gesangsstudium an der Musik-Akademie von Zagreb in der Klasse von Prof. Martina Zadro und Prof. Gerhard Zeller (Lied und Oratorium). Darüber hinaus prägen ihn vor allem seine Lehrer Dunja Vejzovic und Vitomir Marof. 2007 gewann er den Ersten Preis beim Staatswettbewerb in Dubrovnik und war Stipendiat beim »Central & Eastern Europien Musiktheater«.
Am Kroatischen Nationaltheater Zagreb interpretierte Marko Mimica u. a. Ferrando / IL TROVATORE, Don Basilio / DER BARBIER VON SEVILLA, Kotschubey / MAZEPPA, Oroveso / NORMA, Dandini / LA CENERENTOLA, Papageno / DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE, Monterone / RIGOLETTO, Colline / LA BOHEME, Pistola / FALSTAFF und Oberpriester des Baal / NABUCCO.
Seit der Saison 2011/2012 ist Marko Mimica Stipendiat des Förderkreises der Deutschen Oper Berlin und debütierte am 30. September 2011 als Angelotti / TOSCA an der Seite von Martina Serafin, Marcello Giordani und Lado Ataneli an unserem Haus. Außerdem singt er hier Partien wie Basilio / BARBIER VON SEVILLA, Raimondo / LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR, Figaro / DIE HOCHZEIT DES FIGARO, Ferrando / IL TROVATORE oder den Bariton-Part in Verdis REQUIEM.Productions
